Our website supports the people, communities and businesses who are joining forces to use new powers under the Localism Act 2011 to create a neighbourhood plan for Birkenhead & Tranmere.

The Forum will be looking at local issues affecting you – housing, heritage, shopping, tourism and jobs.

We would love you to get involved in planning your neighbourhood. We’d like to know your thoughts and opinions about the area and what you think needs to change.

Our Aims & Goals

  • Where you want new homes, shops and offices to be built
  • What those new buildings should look like
  • Which new buildings should be given planning permission
  • How important are our green spaces and how can we preserve them

We have a vision

“That Birkenhead & Tranmere is a great place to live and work for all of us. That we have access to affordable, adaptable housing and improved open spaces for our children to play in. That we have a voice that is heard when new housing, shops, leisure and industrial development is being proposed in our area.

Better transport, safer streets, more jobs and an inclusive environment which respects our proud history and heritage but also plans for a more sustainable future to secure the best possible balance between the needs and aspirations of both residents and businesses.”
